Business Meeting and Side Meeting

From The Practical Ontology & Compendium of Social Cohesion

Definition: As used herein, Business Meeting or B-Meeting refers to formal, face-to-face Proxima Project or Proxima Program (A) Territory Business Meeting (TBM), (B) Group Business Meeting (GBM), and (C) Committing Business Meetings (CBM) wherein Conversations take place about prepared-in-advanced agendas, minutes of the B-Meeting are kept, resolutions are made and voted on in accord with stable practices. As used herein, a Side Meeting or S-Meeting takes place aside from, but in connection with, a Business Meeting and may include Conversation and/or personal forms of Communication. Commentary As the totality of Proxima Projects and Proxima Programs expands, there will be a tendency to corrupt Conversation in Business Meetings and Side Meetings. Conversations will tend to degenerate into Influtrol and conspiracy among Influtrolers. Robust Visiting and Visiting Practices and careful attention to Due Regard among all Members is the counterbalance to this corrupting tendency.
