Comments
Communication covers everything from smoke signals to ICBMs, from writing this definition and commentary to using the Internet. It includes the growing, roasting and distribution of coffee and the landing of passenger aircraft and brain surgery. Communication includes face-to-face Communications that are not Conversation such as spousal abuse, fist fighting, used car sales pitches and other forms of direct personal manipulation. To end these comments on a more positive note, Communication includes the game of chess and the video lecture of a professor to his or her students out there in the ether, and so on – all human conveyances - or you could say Transactions - of whatever kind other than Conversation whether “good, bad or indifferent.”

See Merriam-Webster definition for Conveyance (noun) and Convey (verb).
