Complex, a

Definition: As used herein, a Complex is a complicated thing, Aspects of which may be Attended to for discussion purposes. Commentary We commonly think of that green chair over there as one thing - It is not a table. We can then break that chair down into its parts - its wood, its green upholstery and so on - and in that sense that chair over there is a Complex of things. If we want to change its color we Attend to its upholstery in particular. We commonly think of a Person - John Doe, for example - as having a Body - one Body. But then when we Attend to his ruptured appendix, we do so in the context of his Body being a Complex.
