Content

From The Practical Ontology & Compendium of Social Cohesion

Definition: As used herein, Content refers to two different meanings - (1) When pronounced with the accent on the first syllable, Content is an abstract, nonspecific, generic term for that which is conveyed via Communication or Conversation. For example, we often refer to the contents of a book, newspaper or some other media. Internet, cable and broadcast network executives are constantly looking for new content that will attract high Nielson ratings. We use the phrase, table of contents. We say the content of certain movies is not appropriate for children. We say the truck crashed and its contents were spread across the highway. (2) When pronounced with the accent on the second syllable, Content means to be in a state of peaceful happiness. For example, "I am Content in my marriage."
