Evidence, Evident

From The Practical Ontology & Compendium of Social Cohesion

Definition: As used herein, Evidence (a noun) is broadly conceived as any Proposition a Person presents - whether to another Person or to oneself in thought - to support the Truthfulness of a Conclusion. Something is Evident (an adjective) when Evidence (the noun) has been presented. Unlike the ordinary meaning of "evident," the special term "Evident" does not necessarily mean that the Truthfulness is obvious, rather only that Evidence has been presented. Notice that the Nature and quality of the Evidence presented are not part of the definition. See Wikipedia: Evidence Compare to: Scientific Evidence
