How to use the OC

From The Practical Ontology & Compendium of Social Cohesion

Definition: How to use the OC Daniel Hough Jones wrote A Practical Ontology & Compendium of Social Cohesion or the "OC," for short. The OC was published in 2022 concurrently with Mr. Jones' book, How to fix the Modern World (the "Handbook"). (Mr. Jones' literary work is owned by the DH Jones Family Trust.) There are two ways to use the OC: First, you can think of it as part of the Handbook's back-matter. The Ontology is the Handbook's glossary. The Compendium aspect of the OC is an extension of the Handbook's appendixes. (Authors of other books are encouraged to make arrangements with the DH Jones Family Trust to link their books to the OC. Contact us.) The reader of How to fix the Modern World (or of another author's book) will find capitalized Special Terms on most pages. Many of them are underlined indicating that in the PDF version of the book the Special Term is hyperlinked to the OC. With a PDF version of the book open on your computer desktop on the left-hand, the target pages of the hyperlinks will open in the OC on the right hand. Alternatively, if a Special Term on a certain page of the book is not underlined and linked and you are uncertain of its definition, you may type the Special Term into the Search Box in the upper right-hand corner of this webpage to find its definition. Second, the OC provides the content for a course of study for adult students. The course begins at the top of the right-hand sidebar listing of terms ("God") and works its way down to the bottom. The objective of the course is for the adult student to become certified. Certification is one of the eligibility requirements for the adult student to become a permanent Member and owner of his or her 72-Group-B and of "the Home Office" of The Modern Cohesion ProjectTM in his or her Modern Country.
