Influtrol

Definition: As used herein, Influtrol(ing) (a noun and a verb) is Communication by an Influtroler that is framed in an attempt to Influence (A) a Nearby Person such as a family member, neighbor, co-worker, prospective buyer, etc. or (B) an anonymous not-Nearby Audience of Persons such as consumers, voters, enemy troops, etc. but in either case, aspires to Control the Emotions and/or Circumstances and/or Judgment of said Persons for the benefit (broadly defined) of the Influtroler. Commentary The key to correctly Understanding Influtrol is to always keep in mind that Influtrol or Influtroling is a kind of Communication and what constitutes Communication is astonishingly broad. Given its narrow definition, Conversation can never be Influtrol. Also, keep in mind that Communication "for the benefit of the Influtroler" is also broadly defined. In one case, for example, two waring Nations use disinformation to deceive one another. Both are using Influtrol. In another case, Influtrol is similar to psychological manipulation where the manipulator is benefited on a small, person-to-person scale. The manipulator's selfish intentions may be clear to the Nearby Observer, while to the victim, they may not. For example, a woman is abused by her spouse or lover. Her sister can "see" the abuse for what it is, but the victim is unsure and full of excuses. My concept of Influtrol is not unique. The social science concept of "framing" is roughly the same. I have coined a new term to force the reader or listener to look up its definition, study it, and understand its meaning rather than me lazily using familiar words such as "manipulation" and "propaganda" that the reader or listener lazily consume.
