Solution System

From The Practical Ontology & Compendium of Social Cohesion

Definition: As used herein, Solution-System refers to cooperative human activity beyond one’s Household that comes into existence in an attempt to Solve an Extraordinary Problem. Commentary Twenty thousand years ago, our ancestors were hunter-gatherers. They had various Solution-Systems that must have Solved various Extraordinary Problems well enough such that we are here today. Solution-Systems back then were Aspects of one's Group. Social Cohesion was an integral Aspect of all Solution-Systems. Today, however, we tend to identify a Solution-Systems with one or more Organizations where Social Cohesion is not necessarily present. Note - There is no Aspect of the Solution-System definition that prevents contemporary Groups from being part of our contemporary Solution-Systems. See: Super-Extraordinary Problem
